CARS has its focus on research and development for computer assisted systems and their applications in radiology and surgery.

The outstanding international character of CARS 2017 with approximately 50 participating nations evolves from the international societies CARS, ISCAS, CAD, CMI and IPCAI taking a leading role in the CARS 2017 program preparation.
